CadVu is a brand (assumed name) operated by Sand Animus Properties LLC, a Texas limited liability company. CadVu is the software land-survey firms use to take and carry out survey orders. When you order a survey on a firm’s CadVu website, you can choose to get text updates about that order. CadVu sends these texts on the firm’s behalf, from one CadVu number, and every text names the firm your order is with.

How you sign up

On the order form, under your name, email and mobile phone, there is a box you can tick. It is not ticked for you, and you do not have to tick it to place an order. This is the box and its wording:

Your details

Full nameJane Doe
Mobile phone(214) 555-0100

Ticking the box means you agree to get texts about that order only. The firm and CadVu never sign you up any other way.

What the texts are about

Only your own order: your quote, the booking and deposit, the date of the crew’s visit and reminders the day before and about two hours before, progress (field work done, drawing started), delivery of your finished survey, and a notice when the firm sends you a message. We never send marketing or promotional texts. Examples:

  • Example Land Surveying via CadVu: your survey quote for 1234 Oak St, Dallas is ready ($650). Book it here: https://example.cadvu.com/status/a1b2c3
  • Example Land Surveying via CadVu: your survey at 1234 Oak St is scheduled for Tue, Nov 18. Reply CONFIRM to confirm, or reply with GATE <code> if a gate code is needed.
  • Example Land Surveying via CadVu: reminder, our crew visits 1234 Oak St tomorrow (Tue, Nov 18). Reply CONFIRM to confirm access, or GATE <code> for a gate code.

How often

Message frequency varies with your order: usually 3 to 8 texts while the order is open. No texts go out during the firm’s quiet hours (9 pm to 8 am unless the firm sets other hours); they wait until the quiet hours end.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. CadVu and the firm do not charge for the texts.

How to stop them, or get help

  • Stop: reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any text. You get one last text to confirm, then no more texts from this number: “CadVu: you are unsubscribed and will get no more texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.”
  • Start again: reply START: “CadVu: you are resubscribed to texts about your survey orders. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
  • Help: reply HELP: “CadVu: texts about your survey order with your land-survey firm. Help: cadvu.com/contact. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.” You can also reach us on the contact page, or call the surveying firm your order is with.

After STOP you still get emails about your order, and you can still see it on your order page.

Your privacy

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number and your choice to get texts are used only to send these texts, and are shared with no one except the surveying firm your order is with and Twilio, which delivers the texts for us. See our privacy policy.

Carriers

Texts work on the major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Contact
